No one wakes up in the morning, heads to work, and thinks "today's the day I lose my job". Turns out it happens. Thursday it happened. I worked at a pretty thankless job for close to 5 years, and was so short-sighted, that I never though of what I would do on the Thursday that it was over. I cried... that's what I did. I talked to my brother and cried, I talked to my best friend and cried, I talked to my parents and cried, and then I said to myself, "self... stop being a whiny asshole". I stopped crying.
I've spent a lot of time with my brother Ryan (my very first follower!) over the past few days, and he's helped me realize something monumental... I don't have to have a plan! I can take some time, figure things out, nothing has to be determined today. BUT... I'm not the type to just do nothing, so what to do? All of the things I've let slide over the past 5 years, that's what.
If you're taking the time to read this, and are a person who thrives on structure, you've stumbled upon the wrong blog, my friend! I have a strong feeling it's going to be all over the map. I love makeup, so you can be sure to hear about that. I've let my health and fitness slide, am about to turn 28 in 8 days, and am ready to spend some time "up in the gym, just workin on my fitness" ala Fergie. I'm single and over it, so get ready to be a part of the great American man hunt! I love my family and friends.... my ultimate goal is to make them internet famous, just for shits and gigs.
Ryan and I went for a 4 mile walk this afternoon and I realized something... my ass is out of SHAPE! We talked a lot on our walk about setting goals and things of that nature so it's GOAL TIME!!!
1) Lose 15 pounds by Christmas... I think that's pretty reasonable, a litte over a pound a week.
2) Run in the Big House, Big Heart 5k next October with my dad and Ryan.
3) Do make up on 5 people by the end of 2010. Any takers, get at me! :)
4) Figure out my new career.
5) Figure out myself.
Let the deconstruction begin! :)
Oh and BTW... if anyone needs a birthday idea, anything from the NARS Holiday 2010 collection would be much appreciated.... GORGEOUS! http://www.narscosmetics.com/Holiday-2010-C671_collection.aspx
